Does remembering your past sins while asking for forgiveness from Allah make you feel ashamed and leave you speechless before Him?

Does remembering what you were indulged in over the past few years bring tears to the eyes before you can put it into words?

Say, “O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah . Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.” (Qur’an 39:53)

Your Rabb knows the darkest of secrets hidden in the depths of your heart.

Turn to Him and let the tears do the talking tonight.

Although it is very common, Ramadan is really not the time to tweet photos or update Facebook statuses about how much khushoo’ you felt and how the words of Allah are piercing your heart. Let’s keep that between us and Allah. Let’s try to keep ourselves away from social networking and use that time to bring ourselves closer to Allah and improve our position in the sight of Allah.

We should also avoid publicizing our worship and charitable deeds, because the Prophet Mohammad SWS said that one of the seven groups of people that will be granted shade on the Day of Judgment includes the one who gives in charity and conceals it to such an extent that his left hand does not know what his right hand gives; and a man who remembers Allah when he is alone, and his eyes fill up.” (Bukhari)

Frustrated? Stressed? Everyone has their own problems. The best way to relieve the stress & pressure is by speaking about it to someone close, someone who loves and cares for you.

Then how about the one who loves you 70 times more than your own mother? Isn’t it beautiful that He knows all your problems and worries, yet sometimes He delays the response just so He can hear your voice calling out to Him!

@ Rasulullah S.A.W.W made it a point to wake up his wives throughout these nights! And yes, your children are not too young to stay up some part of the night – if they can be allowed to play video games or watch TV, they can be inspired to be up atleast for sometime! Prepare them, make them excited, plan some activities for them to do!
