Karachi Zoo has much more to offer than what people generally think. Previously known as the 'Mahatma Gandhi Garden', Karachi Zoo was established in the year 1878. Attractions include a variety of birds, reptiles, a natural history museum, and Karachi's oldest Banayan trees. Over the past few years Karachi Zoo has suffered the loss of precious animals, including the recent death of lion cubs.
