Istikhara for marriage

Why We Do Estakhara ?
Estakhara is a prayer which means "asking guidance from Allah Almighty before any important task".
Whethr this work is better for ME (No One else can do Estakhara for your work, you have to do it yourself) or not ?
This is done for anythng important, it can be a job, marriage, journey etc.

DREAM IN ESTAKHARA:-

"Dream" is not necessary, you can see any colours, any signs also. If you do not remember any dream or do not see any colors then follow your heart. Whatever intention grows stronger in your heart regarding your work follow it.

PERIOD:-
You can do Estakhara for 3 days or 7 days. Not more thn 7 days.

WAY TO PERFORM ISTIKHARA:-
After Esha prayer (before going to bed) First pray Two rakat of Prayer (nafil) such that in the first raka after Surah Fatiha recite Surah al-Kafirun and in the second raka' after Fatiha recite Surah Al-Ikhlas. After finishing prayer recite Dua of Estakhara. And pray to show you what is best for you.

Your clothes, bed sheet, blanket each and everything should b clean (Pak). And avoid talking after prayer.

NOTE:-
While reciting this Dua, on reaching the highlighted words, one should think/pray for your problem or work in any language.

TRANSLATION IN ENGLISH:-
"O Allah, I ask You for good through Your knowledge and I ask You for ability through Your power and I beg (Your favour) out of Your infinite bounty. Surely, You have power and I have none. You know everything and I know not. You are the Great Knower of all things. O Allah, if,in Your sublime knowledge, this matter is good for my Faith (Deen), for my livelihood and for the consequences of my affairs, then ordain it for me and make it easy for me and bless me therein. But if, in Your knowledge, this matter is bad for my Faith (Deen), for my livelihood and for the consequences of my affairs, then turn it away from me and turn me away there from and ordain for me the good wherever it be and cause me to be pleased therewith."
(Bukhari, Vol.1, Pg. 155)

TRANSLATION IN URDU:-

if everyone does "istikhara", would not divorces exist?
Because if doing Istikhara I understand that marriage wont be good, then I avoid getting married.
Once an Istikhara is made, whatever happens will be in your favor. If you say yes to the proposal, it will be for the best. If marriage goes through, it will be Mubarak. If it does not go through, it will still be for the best, in sha ALLAH.

Thanks @Ana Zai. Really a good work!
But i've got some questions to do:

1) If I am not a Muslim and dont now the prayers, can a person (obviously a strongly practicing Muslim) do Istikhara for me?
2) Usually, what are the signs / dreams that indicate the negative or positive outcome? Do you know some examples of dreams...?
3) Hypothesis of life: I'm going to marry a girl. I know her, I like her, I think she is perfect for me. But I want to make sure that my God gives the certainty that this is really the woman of my life.
And in fact God, through a dream, gives me the signal that I can marry her.
But this happens! That my wife will ruin our marriage with some wrong attitudes.
In this case, why Istikhara did not work? Why did God give me the "green light" to marry that person who turned out to be wrong?
4) Are there other similar prayers like Istikhara?

If you are Non-Muslim thn you should understand the true meaning of Prayer (Salat).
In order for your prayers to be accepted by Allah you must believe in him as the ONLY ONE worthy of worship and that Muhammad (Peace and blessings be upon Him) was his Last Messenger which makes you a Muslim.

In Surah Al-Tawbah (9:54):
And nothing prevents their contributions from being accepted from them except that they disbelieved in Allah and in His Messenger (Muhammad).

If you’re interested in Salah as some sort of a relaxing activity or you just enjoy doing it, then I guess you can, but you have to say the Kalma-e-Shahada to start the prayer which is a declaration of Islam.
(May Allah Almighty forgive my mistakes and lack of knowledge, Ameen).

And for Mulims you do NOT have to ask a scholar or any righteous person to do istikhara for you! The wordings of istikhara surrounds the word “I” _ If someone else would be doing it, they’ll be asking for their khair in that matter (And if that person is not a part of that decision, it makes them irrelevant in the matter).

2) Usually, what are the signs / dreams that indicate the negative or positive outcome? Do you know some examples of dreams...?
Estakhara does'nt mean dicovering of "GhAib" (unseen) things. Its seeking guidance in many ways.

DREAMS:-
If you are supposing you can see all hidden story of future. Its Impossible!
Let me explain you some examples..
1: You can see Colors like Green, White, Flowers etc it means its Mubarik.
If you see Black color, lizard, snake normally it means somethng wrong.
2: Signs in a dream _ in a dream you are going to that girl's house. Or you can see your marriage with you cossen girl in a dream etc.
3: The strong feelings towards your task/ Satisfaction of your heart.
4: May be any of your friend will suggest you anythng.
These all are just examples, if you see any other dream go to scholar who will explain you the meaning of your dream.
