Quaid-e-Azam University shut down after violent clash
Scores of students were wounded on Saturday when a fight broke out between two groups of Sindhi and Balochistan students at Quaid-e-Azam University in Islamabad.

Rangers and police were called in to restore calm in the capital’s varsity after the violent clash.

According to the police, there was open use of firearms by the both sides.

A TV cameraman covering the clash was also beaten up by the enraged students and his camera was broken.

Meanwhile, the university's administration said it was shutting down the main campus and hostel for an indefinite period due to existing law and order situation.

The university has also directed students to vacate the hostel without any delay.

According to medics, 23 injured students were brought to hospital for treatment.
