As more people use mobile devices, Facebook want all of security tools available everywhere you use Facebook. A few engineers have been working hard to bring two most popular tools to mobile — social reporting and the ability to reset your password.

Mobile Social Reporting:
A few months ago Facebook started rolling out Social Reporting, a tool that helps you resolve issues with posts, profiles or other content on the site. If you are reporting something you don’t like, facebook want to make it easy for you to communicate with the person who posted it. For example, if you don’t like a photo of yourself that someone uploaded, you can use social reporting to ask that person to take it down.

The response to these changes has been great and almost 70% of reported photos get removed by the owner. This is just by facilitating communication between two people without any intervention from Facebook teams. This week we started testing this on m.facebook.com and over the coming months we will add social reporting to all mobile devices.

Mobile Password Reset:
If you ever forget your password or get locked out of your account, Facebook want to make it easy to get back on Facebook. Facebook is testing the ability to reset your password from your mobile device. You can now choose the email address where you want to receive recovery links, and Facebook offering additional ways to confirm your identity.
