Urdu Book Ghazal Numa

Ada Jafari is the first Pakistani lady poet. She proves herself in the dominated poetic world of male.

Ada was born on 22 August 1924, in Badayun. Her mother named her Azeez Jehan. When she was twelve, she wrote her first poem. She took the start as Ada Badayun after her marriage with Nurul Hasan Jafri she became Ada Jafri. She married on 29 January 1947, in Lucknow. After marriage, she migrated to Pakistan in 1947. She adopted Ada Jafri as her pen name. Ada is a Ghazal writer. She also has written some nazams, Urdu Haiku and mazamins. Ada first collection of poems was “Main Saz Dhundti Rahi” which was published in 1950. She also published her Urdu Haiku Saz-i Sukhn. Autobiography “Jo Rahi so Bekhabri Rahi” has been published by her.

This Book Ghazal Numa contains short essays with short biographies and brief commentaries on the work previous Urdu poets was published in 1987.
