ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Sunday warned of countrywide protests if the next general elections were rigged.
Addressing a press conference after a party meeting in Islamabad, Khan stressed the importance of an independent election commission and announced that his party will also file an application in the Supreme Court for the voters’ registration to be done on the basis of the NADRA identity cards.
He also said that PTI will file a petition in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to investigate the rental power contract given to Karkey Karadeniz earlier this year.

Khan added that his party had set up a scrutiny committee to investigate politicians’ undisclosed assets.
He also announced that his party’s next political gathering would be in Karachi, which would be even bigger than the one staged in Lahore.
