Is it considered a hostage situation?

Ok I try to explain: (Of course help taken from internet):

Yes, it does have some of the dynamics of a hostage situation. Often times, a person with multiple personalities will have a “protector” personality to try to keep themselves functional, and many will have an angry, depressed, or impulsive personality that might attempt suicide.

Many people with DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) have reported that their alters worked together to keep themselves alive, even mentally overpowering the suicidal alter. Sometimes, different alters will take on different responsibilities that they’re specialized in. A lot depends on how aware the alters are of each other and how well they cooperate. In fact, DID can be considered “cured” when the person as a whole is functional and happy—even if they are still, mentally, more than one person. It can be imagined that it must be a lot like having roommates; only, you’re sharing a brain rather than a bedroom.
